Selected candidates will have the opportunity to perform cutting edge research in geoenvironmental engineering and contaminant transport in soils. We are seeking candidates with expertise in the area of multiphase/multiphysics flow in porous media. This is a collaborative/interdisciplinary Ph.D. position requiring expertise in modeling environmental contaminants transport (e.g., PFAS) in porous media.

Selected candidate will have strong background in geotechnical/geoenvironmental engineering and modeling. Candidate will work on particulate modeling of soils and coupled fluid flow phenomena in porous media. Experience with software like PFC3D and COMSOL Multiphysics is highly desired. Strong background in programing is required, with familiarity in C++ programing being a plus.
